ABOUT

Erich Katzke is a global Human Capital and Learning & Development executive with more than 37 years of experience driving workforce transformation, leadership development, and technical training strategies across complex international environments. His work focuses on building high-performing organisations through strong talent pipelines, succession planning, and practical skills development aligned with business growth.

Erich has held senior leadership roles across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia with major organisations including Saline Water Conversion Corporation in Saudi Arabia, ArcelorMittal across Liberia, Luxembourg and Canada, Glencore, and Anglo American Platinum in South Africa. Throughout his career he has led large-scale human capital strategies, established technical training centres, implemented succession and talent development programmes, and coached senior leadership teams in organisational transformation.

He has also played a leading role in developing globally recognised technical training frameworks, including the commercialisation of a desalination technical training centre and the creation of West Africa’s first fully integrated engineering training facility aligned to international standards.

Erich currently focuses on consulting and advisory work in South Africa, supporting the establishment of Community Development Centres that enhance employability, entrepreneurship, and technical skills development through integrated community training frameworks.

He is currently completing a Master of Science in Human Capital Development and Management at University of Leicester, further strengthening his expertise in strategic human capital development.
